படங்களை இரண்டாக பிரிக்க

மின்னாக்கத்துக்கு புத்தகத்தை போட்டோ எடுத்தபின் காமிராவில் இருந்து பிம்பங்களை கணினிக்கு ஏற்றியபின் படங்களை கையாளுவதில் கொஞ்சம் சிக்கல்கள்- சுற்றுவழிகள் இருந்தன.

இதற்காக என் மகன் (சம்ஸ்க்ருத சாஸ்த்ர வித்வான்) ஒரு மென்பொருள் எழுதி உள்ளார். இந்த மென்பொருளை பெற மின் தமிழ் மடலாடற்குழு பக்கங்களில் தேடுங்கள் அல்லது எனக்கு மின்னஞ்சல் அனுப்புங்கள். drtvasudevan@gmail.com

இயக்க ஆரம்பித்து எந்த அடைவில் உள்ள படங்களை கையாள வேண்டும் என்று சுட்டி காட்டினால் அதில் உள்ளவை ஒவ்வொன்றாக திறக்கப்படும். கோணலான படங்களை நிமிர்த்திக்கொள்ளலாம். படத்தை மேலிருந்து கீழாக வெட்ட ஒரு நகர் கோடு தென்படும்.
தேவையான இடத்துக்கு அதை நகர்த்தி வெட்டலாம். வெட்டியதை தேவையானால் நிமிர்த்தலாம். செமித்தால் இரு படங்களாக புதிய ஒரு அடைவில் சேமித்துவிடும். வெட்டாமல் அடுத்த படத்துக்கும் போகலாம். தேவையில்லாத ஒரு பக்கத்தை நீக்கவும் நீக்கலாம்.

நிறுவலில் லினக்ஸீல் ஒரு பிரச்சினையும் இராது.
You need PyQt and Qt to run this. If in doubt, go to a commandline and do:

sudo apt-get install python-qt4

Save the attached program in a folder. Goto commandline in that folder. Do:

chmod +x chandrachuda-image-splitter
sudo cp chandrachuda-image-splitter /usr/local/bin/

After this you can just type:

chandrachuda-image-splitter

in any Run Command window and it will load.

விண்டோசுக்கு சில நிறுவல்கள் தேவை. குறிப்புகள் கீழே!

1. Download Python 2.x Windows Installer from http://python.org/ (see Quick Links on leftmost column). Install Python using it.

2. Download PyQt 4.x Windows Installer from http://www.riverbankcomputing.com/software/pyqt/download (scroll to near bottom of page and choose the Windows Installer that shows the correct Python version (Py2.5 or Py2.6) corresponding to the version of Python you have downloaded. Install PyQt using it. Just click OK through the procedure.

இவை இரண்டும் பொருந்த வேண்டும். அதாவது புதிய பதிப்புக்களானால் பைதான் பதிப்புக்கு ஏற்ற பைதான் க்யூடிதான் நிறுவ வேண்டும். பொருந்தாது என்றால் க்யூடி நிறுவும் போது எச்சரிக்கை தரும். மேலே போகாமல் தகுந்த பதிப்பை தேடி நிறுவுங்கள்.

3. Copy the file chandrachuda-image-splitter.
pyw to any convenient place. Even your desktop will do, it is a very small program.

4. Clicking or double-clicking (depending on your desktop settings) on this program will load it.

If you need a minimal installation of Python and PyQt in order to just run Chandrachuda and save MBs of space on your HDD, then follow the following instructions:

While installing Python, when you come to the Customize Python dialog, it is enough if you install Python (Core) and Register Extensions. Unselect Tcl/Tk, Documentation, Utility Scripts and Test Suite.

While installing PyQt, when you come to the Choose Components dialog, choose a Minimal Install.
